ECF Relief Fund Application Open December 4, 2024-March 15, 2025
This round of funding is for Nonprofits seeking to make improvements related to disaster and emergency preparedness.
The Edwardsville Community Foundation's Relief Fund is now accepting grant applications from nonprofits seeking to improve disaster and emergency preparedness. This grant application is open December 4, 2024, through March 15, 2025. The ECF Relief Fund provides support for all members of the community affected by sudden and unexpected natural, manmade, and civil disasters and to meet the long-term needs of the community related to disaster and emergency preparedness. These grants are made possible by the hundreds of donors to the ECF Relief Fund.
Criteria for this round of funding from the ECF Relief Fund are the following:
● Capital improvements related to emergency and disaster preparedness
● Environmental improvements related to emergency and disaster preparedness (Could include training of personnel if directly related to emergency or disaster preparedness)
● Disaster and emergency support needs for long-term viability
Please note: This funding opportunity includes a "challenge" that each grantee selected to receive funds will be required to raise 10% of grant amount in new cash donations to support the project as described in the application. For example, if the project cost is $5000, your organization must raise $500 in new cash donations, and ECF will fund the remaining cost, $4500. Your organization will provide documentation to ECF showing that your organization received the new cash donations in support of this funding opportunity.
“ECF would like to hear from local nonprofit organizations that are putting a plan in place for how to best prepare for a future disaster or emergency. Or possibly the organization is preparing a response plan so their constituents will be better served when unexpected events occur,” Pamela Farrar, ECF executive director, said. “If you're thinking about how your organization could be better prepared, I encourage you to reach out with any questions and to complete our grant application by March 15, 2025.”
