ECF awards $525,000 to the City of Edwardsville to assist with the acquisition of the "Frozen Foods" building located at 246 N. Main Street.  This grant was made possible thanks to a bequest from
long-time Edwardsville family businessman, David Kriege.

The building will be leased to the Edwardsville Arts Center in accordance with the ECF donation.  It was Mr. Kriege's wish for funds to be used to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Edwardsville.  This building, along with the Wildey Theater next door, will be the heart of a community arts district.
