We are deeply saddened by the loss of our fellow Director, friend and community supporter extraordinaire Pete Fornof.  Since 2012 Pete served in many capacities on the ECF board, including Chair, and was instrumental in ECF’s continued growth and positive impact in the community.

Edwardsville community foundation establishes community support fund to support nickel plate station

The 135-year-old station has seen many important moments in Edwardsville’s history and is one of only a handful of its kind left throughout the country. The goal is to raise $100,000 for the project, which will help pay for the costs of moving the station to its permanent home, restoring it as well as developing exhibits and making necessary upgrades to the building.

Community members can now make tax-deductible gifts to the project through the Edwardsville Community Foundation.

THE WHAT AND HOW OF THE ECF. ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN BACKING COMMUNITY PROJECTS SINCE 1997

The Edwardsville Community Foundation (ECF) has been serving the communities within the District 7 boundaries since 1997. Since our inception we have facilitated more than $6.2 million to charitable causes. We’ve supported a variety of projects you might be familiar with, such as Ryan Garb’s Gold Star Memorial, the Leon Corlew Park and Splash Pad and The Gardens at SIUE. Most recently, we’ve supported Schon Park in Glen Carbon and Kelan’s Swing in Township Park.
